Company History

Hi-Way 13 Transport was incorporated in 1957 when Fred J. (Bitz) O'Riordan and his brother, Tom O'Riordan, decided to amalgamate their efforts and expand their operations. After Tom's passing, Fred bought out his brother's share of the business and now his children run Hi-Way 13 Transport Ltd.

Hi-Way 13 employs over 80 full-time personnel and runs: 15 trucks, 65 tractors, and 178 trailers consisting of: 27, 48, and 53 foot tandem and tridem vans, decks, B-trains and Super B-trains, and pole trailers capable of hauling up to 80-foot lengths of pipe.

Hi-Way 13 has LTL services between Camrose, Edmonton, Calgary, Wetaskiwin, Provost, and on Highway 12 to Stettler, Coronation, Consort, Compeer, and several other towns. We also provide interline services to any place in the world out of Calgary and Edmonton.

Fred's philosophy when the Company began was that "we are here to satisfy the customers' needs to the best of our ability and the bottom line will look after itself".

Even though the second generation is in charge now, they still go the extra mile.
